How to Install a Screw Together Eyelet

Step one: Get the right tools. You will need your screw together eyelet (P-2789-NIC), a cutting block, leather awl, scissors or exact-o blade and Loctite glue optional.

Step two: Cut the hole out in the material. Place the top of your eyelet on the material. Using a Leather Awl, mark the inside of the eyelet. Use scissors or an exact-o blade to cut a hole. Once the hole is cut, place the male part of the eyelet on a cutting block. The male part is slightly smaller in width and will fit snug into the female part.

Step three: Screw together the eyelet. Place the screws in the eyelet and use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten. Use a small amount of glue if you want to ensure that the screws stay tight.
